Prepared for Tomorrow: The Campaign for WBST

I am pleased to invite you to join an exciting effort called Prepared for Tomorrow: The Campaign for Warsaw Baptist Seminary. This campaign is based on Eph. 4:12 and is an aggressive attempt to take our school to a higher level.  The unique position in which we find ourselves now allows us to prepare a place to help students in the coming years to meet ever-higher standards of excellence in scholarship and theological training. With that in mind, I'd like to tell you about this great step of faith - the bold plan to offer a Master’s Program at WBST.

Why pursue a Master’s Program? I believe our pursuit of the Master’s Program will allow Warsaw Baptist Seminary to serve as part of the very foundation of Christian theological life in Eastern Europe.  It will also broaden the influence in and witness to our own society.  Since an evangelical Master’s Degree in Theology is not offered in Poland, It will keep our own gifted students in Poland and draw students from other nations.  The Master’s Degree will help take us, and thus our students, to a new level of theological and academic excellence.

Achieving the Master’s Program will require a tremendous commitment on the part of faculty, administration and friends of the Seminary. Over the next few years, we must, among other efforts:

     *      Have at least 8 full-time professors.  This, by Polish Law, is the minimum requirement for a school that offers a Masters of Theology.

     *      Set up endowments for the different academic chairs totaling 3 million US dollars.

The anticipated results and the goals of Prepared for Tomorrow: The Campaign for Warsaw Baptist Seminary will be:

·         The status of WBST will be improved significantly in Poland.

·         WBST will take a greater leadership role within the community of Christian Theological Education worldwide.

·         WBST will realize increased support among our friends and benefactors.

·         WBST students, from Poland and other Eastern European countries, will achieve a new level of theological training and preparation for ministry.

Future generations in Poland and Eastern Europe will reap untold benefits from good Baptist leadership.  Prepared for Tomorrow: The Campaign for Warsaw Baptist Seminary is the next step of that process.
