Warsaw, April 2005

 Dear Friends,

Greeting from Warsaw Baptist Theological Seminary.

The events of the past few days, as our nation has said farewell to “the Polish Pope” has reminded us again of  how important it is to continue to proclaim the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ here in Poland. We do this by preparing the students for the work of ministry, both full-time and part-time. Currently, we have 22 full-time and 60 part-time students plus about 70 others enrolled in our two Institutes. The next academic year also looks very promising. This month we are having An Open Day when we are expecting to have several people attend who have expressed an interest in studying here at WBST.

Thank you so much for your faithful support of our scholarship program. We value  both the practical and prayer support of  your churches as we are engaged as partners, together with you, in the mission of Christ in East and West.

Our summer program this year will include Senior Camp, Youth Camp, Vacation Bible School and a Conference for Sunday School workers. These are all very important parts of our ministry and many of them can take place only with voluntary mission teams like yours. We are also involved in helping and training some churches in organizing their own summer mission projects, especially Vacation Bible Schools for children. We are happy that our students can help alongside the local church mission teams.

This year we are expecting teams from Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas. The work is already well established and we hope it will be expanded  with your help over the coming years. Please be assured that you are always very welcome here at the Seminary and if you know of  any team mission team interested in coming here, we would be pleased to welcome them too.  Poland is a fascinating country and we can usually advise if some from the team wish to see places like Krakow, Gdansk or Warsaw itself as part of their visit  here.

So once again Thank you for you ongoing  support of our mission here to train this and the next generation of Polish Baptist leaders.
